A group represents a single departure — a set of pilgrims traveling together on the same dates. Groups are the backbone of Ziyara: pilgrims, hotels, flights, rooming and finances all attach to a group.
Creating a group
- Open Groups from the sidebar.
- Click Create Group.
- Fill in the name, departure and return dates, and (optionally) a price.
- Save.
You can create as many groups as you need. There is no per-group limit on the number of pilgrims.
Group statuses
Each group moves through a lifecycle so you always know where it stands:
- Planning — early setup, gathering pilgrims
- Booking — actively collecting registrations and payments
- Confirmed — departure is locked in
- In progress — the group is currently traveling
- Completed — the journey has finished
- Archived — kept for records
Update the status from the group's page as it progresses.
What you can attach to a group
- Pilgrims — the travelers
- Packages — different price tiers (for example, quad, triple, double rooms)
- Hotels & rooming — Makkah and Madinah accommodation
- Flights — outbound and return manifests
- Payments & invoices — money in and out
- A guide — the staff member accompanying the group
Copying from a previous group
When creating a new departure, you can copy the settings from a previous group to save time — hotels, packages and structure carry over so you only adjust the dates and price.
